Leisure company finalist in two prestigious award catergories

While our management team is extremely proud of being announced as finalists, we are also delighted for the team at Gooderson's Kloppenheim Country Estate which saw the value in being part of the future development of the arts sector in South Africa and particularly its region.

Management members of Gooderson Leisure in Machadodorp are proud to announce that they are the finalists of two award categories in this year’s 19th annual BASA Awards which takes place this month.

The categories are first-time sponsor award for hosting the forgotten Angle Theatre Collaborative Mpumalanga Arts Project and the official opening of Ebhudlweni Art Centre, as well as sponsorship in kind award for hosting the above group at their four-star resort.

Established in 1997 the BASA Awards recognises and celebrate business and arts partnerships.
“The diversity and range of the finalists prove that the shared value of arts-business partnerships plays a significant role in bringing arts to many different communities around the country,” said Michelle Constant, CEO of Business and Arts South Africa.

“While our management team is extremely proud of being announced as finalists, we are also delighted for the team at Gooderson’s Kloppenheim Country Estate which saw the value in being part of the future development of the arts sector in South Africa and particularly its region,” stated CEO of Gooderson Leisure, Gavin Castleman. “We really hope that it does well at the final event, ” he added.

This year’s judges are Gianni Mariano, co-founder and CEO of the Mastrantonio Group of Companies, BASA board member and awards chairman, and Dali Tambo, media and heritage-tourism entrepreneur, to mention a few.
