Mpumalanga is a gold mine of exceptional talent

Musician Jay Spitter has now been signed to Mabala Noise.

Mpumalanga boasts two Idols winners, a smartphone inventor, a Miss South Africa and a Miss World. To top it all, musician Jay Spitter has now been signed to Mabala Noise.

Njabulo Nation Hlatshwayo aka Jay gained popularity in the music industry when he released his debut album, Iphupho Lami under the label of Man Behind Records last year. Fast forward to 2016 when he performed at a save water roadshow in Tonga. “It was a blessing in disguise to be there, and it was the right time,” he says.

Spitter mentions how life suddenly changed for him. “After the roadshow, I packed my bags and headed to the City of Gold, Johannesburg. I was later given a contract and now I am re-releasing my album.” He reckons his CD was great, but felt it was not well marketed, hence its redoing, in collaboration with Anathi, Khanyi Mbau and Zakwe.”

There is surely nothing stopping this muso from achieving his dreams and making it big, while raising Mpumalanga’s flag. “God’s timing is perfect and I am grateful for all He has done for me, He has elevated me,” he says.
