Station shuffle to please listeners

There are not a lot of changes in this year's line-up. We have decided to keep things simple for our listeners; however, they will notice that the Afternoon Drive Show team now leaves 30 minutes earlier.

It is that time of the year when Ligwalagwala FM goes through a reshuffle, changes in their line-up, completely for the betterment of the station. This year, however, the station has decided not to make major changes.

“There are not a lot of changes in this year’s line-up. We have decided to keep things simple for our listeners; however, they will notice that the Afternoon Drive Show team now leaves 30 minutes earlier. We have shifted the educational show, Learner Support, to 17:30 so that pupils can be part of it. As a result of that, the Midday show will now wrap up at 15:00 instead of 14:30,” said Mfanimpela Ndlala, the station’s events coordinator.

According to Ndlala, hip-hop lovers will also be glad to know that there is now a show dedicated to their hits.
“Fortune Ntekati’s Friday night show, Party Time Reloaded, will focus on hip hop. The house slot will then be catered for on Saturday night’s, The Zone,” he added.

Choral music fanatics will rejoice over 30-minute extension Sunday evening.
“Shakes Nkuna’s show, Sidla Ngaloludzala, will also be 30 minutes longer, while the Prince’s show, Phumula Nami, will now change and add more jazz and African sounds. This is our way of relaxing the weekend away with our listeners, gearing up for the Monday hustle,” he said.

The rest of the shows remain the same.
