MBOMBELA – Although the broadcaster has officially confirmed that the actress, who is popular for her role as the malicious Thembeka Shezi-Nyathi on the soapie, will be officially taking a break from her role in May, viewers should not be in dismay.
According to eTV, Masasa will be pursuing other opportunities in the theatre and movie industries.
“There’s no need for viewers to be too disappointed as Masasa’s character, will remain alive in the Scandal world and viewers can expect her back on the show in the future,” read a statement from eTV.
Masasa took to social media to calm her fans down by reminding them that no character is bigger than the show.
“It remains Scandal. No one character can ever be bigger than the show. Scandal will remain the best soapie in SA.”
