Women of note in the music scene will descend on the Church on the Hill and set the stage ablaze on Sunday as they celebrate Women’s Day right in the House of Worship. The inaugural Imbokodo Queens Concert will unravel nothing else but an all-female talent on the day.

You will surely have received blessings during the morning service and get ready to roll with Afr-jazz great, Naima Kay who will set the stage ablaze on this 59th anniversary of the historic march by women of all races to the Union Buildings during the apartheid era.

Naima Kay’s music, too, does not have any racial boundaries, but is a genre that appeals to all. She’s yours for the taking as the main attraction. The stage will be opened by two equally talented and professional artists in gospel supremo, Ntokozo Mbambo and Afro-soul great and SA Idols Season 10 runner-up, Bongi Silinda.

The concert, which will run from 14:00 until late, will be followed by an afterparty event also to be headlined by female deejays on the decks as splendidly end the enjoyable long weekend in great style.

The five lucky ticket winners of the double tickets to the concert are Jane Mongwe, Busisie Suea Nhlapo, Codelia Mohale, Thulisiwe Miya, and Sifiso Ndlovu. They can collect their tickets at our offices from today.

Tickets are still available at Computicket at R200 and R400 VIP.
