Also, did you know that Ligwalagwala FM’s Dumisani “Madumane” Simelane on Mzansi Breakfast Show, Rise FM’s Thebigzill Onair and Ikwekwezi FM’s Mbuzana “Sello” Nyathi on Sivukile Breakfast rule the roost in the province?

That’s according to the media Radio Annual 2015 that has pitted these three lasses against the best throughout the country for breakfast, midday, afternoon and evening shows.

These include the likes of Darren Simpson from 947, 702’s John Robbie, KFM’s Ryan O’Connor, Cape Talk’s Kieno Jammies, East Coast’s Darren Mails, Jacaranda FM’s The Complimentary Breakfast, Maya FM’s Georgie, Metro FM’s The First Avenue and Radio 2000’s Just Ice.

There is also OFM’s André Kunz, Heart FM’s Sugar, Power FM’s Tim Modise, Cape Radio Pulpit’s Johann Els and Tshego Moagi, Radio Pulpit’s Janine van Niekerk and Wynand Rossouw, Vuma 103FM’s Kwasa Breakfast Show, Smile 90.4 FM’s Bobby Brown and Lindy Hibbard, Y FM’s DJ Ankletap and Mantsoe Pout and North West FM’s Modisane Modise.

Others featured in the most popular spot include Classic FM’s Deano Maduramuthu and Michael Avery, Gagasi FM’s Thandolwethu and TP, Lotus FM’s Neville Pillay, Lesefi FM’s Nyakallo “Ba2Cada” Leone, Umhlobo Wenene’s Putco Mafani, Motsweding FM’s Kabelo “KB” Molopyane, Munghana Lonene’s Connie Mashibye and Sydney Baloyi, Phala Phala FM’s Mpho Nefale and Jones Netshipise, RSG FM’s Amore Broker.

Not to be left out are SAFM’s Salina Kamsendo, Thobela FM’s Mankoko Mkhari, TRUfm’s Phethu Soga and Reggie Solani and Ukhozi FM’s Sipho Mbatha.

On Ikwekwezi FM, the listener profile is predominantly Ndebele-speaking South Africans living mainly in Gauteng, Limpopo and Mpumalanga from the ages of 25 to 34 years – they say their typical listener is trustworthy, progressive, engaged and proudly traditional, yet not bound by culture and is mainly school leavers and tertiary students.

Ligwalagwala FM’s core audience is 25 to 49 years of age, LSM 5-7 male and females who speak and understand siSwati.

Their typical listeners live in a modern society without shedding their traditional values. They enjoy social activities and like to be informed about issues of national priority. They have a positive Afro-urban lifestyle and are young and upward mobile.

Rise FM’s core a audience aims to entertain and inspire the citizens of the province to rise up, wear their identities with pride and let their voices be heard. Its typical listener is progressive and is from 25 to 49 years old, LSM 6-10.
