Beat coffee addiction and stay energetic

We are not saying that coffee should be off limits but it’s all about moderation and the more we consume the more our body builds a tolerance.

Coffee is an ultimate boost and some people can not person until they drink a steamy cup of coffee.

However some health experts suggest that mild physical dependence can result from excessive caffeine intake.

Studies have demonstrated that people who take in a minimum of 100 mg of caffeine per day (about the amount in one cup of coffee) can acquire a physical dependence that would trigger withdrawal symptoms that include headaches, muscle pain and stiffness, lethargy, nausea, vomiting, depressed mood, and marked irritability.

We are not saying that coffee should be off limits but it’s all about moderation and the more we consume the more our body builds a tolerance. If we’re not careful we can overload our adrenal glands and become stuck in a cycle of fatigue.

Here are a few tips on how to beat coffee addiction.

1. Substitute With Green Tea

* Start small. If you drink say five cups of coffee in a day,start by dropping one and before you know it, one cup will be enough for the day.

2. Use Other Milky Drinks

* Try substituting with Hot Chocolate or even a hot vanilla almond milk. Remember that hot chocolates are very high in sugar, so don’t take too much.

3. Go easy on the carbs

* Carbohydrates have a tendency of making you feel too much fatigued and end up running for your next fix, another cup of coffee. So, try not to eat carbohydrate heavy lunch.

4. Take a power nap

* It’s amazing what a 10 minute nap can do for you. So, take some time from your lunch hour and take a short nap in your car,you’ll feel refreshed.

5. Address habits

* Make a vow to deal with habits that are not good for your health. It’s all about discipline.
