Easter Weekend festivities

In remembrance of what happened prior to the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, more than 450 congregants from White River Parish church together with the locally based St Marks Catholic Church, celebrated their yearly Palm Sunday.

As part of the Holy Week, the church will celebrate the Pascal Meal at St Marks Catholic Church on Wednesday.

Other Easter Services at the various churches:
• Members of the Assemblies of God will converge at the Kanyamazane Assemblies of God from Thursday until Sunday. The theme is ‘Jesus is master of everything.’

• Members of the Alliance Church in the province will converge to praise and worship at the Church Centre in Witbank. This year’s theme is ‘The Power of the Cross’.

• Members of the African Methodist Episcopal Centre will convene at Msogwaba AME where services of the Holy Week began last Sunday. The church’s other branches including KaNyamazane, Barberton, Mhluzi and Lydenburg will meet at their various areas of worship. This year’s theme is “Arise and give honour to God”.

• Members of the Rock of Salvation International Ministries together with the Life Link Ministries will worship at Witbank Lifelink Ministries and theme is “It is finished”.

• Members of the Trinity Church of God in partnership with the Inner Healing Ministries and the Living Word Ministries will be.celebrating at Swalala Living Word Ministries.

• Members of Emmanuel Assemblies will be worshipping at Bushbuckridge Maviljan.

• Branches of the Centre of Life Ministries will travel to Ga Skororo in Tzaneen.

• Members of the Bread of Life Ministries will convene at their church in Msholozi.

• Thousands of members of the Zion Christian Church (ZCC) and other congregations will travel out of the province and even to neighbouring countries, while some churches will worship at their respective places of worship.
