Movies@The Ridge urges all The Ridge guests and eMalahleni residents to come out and ‘Lend A Paw’ to help man’s best friend ahead of the upcoming Annie movie launch on Friday, January 30.
The Ridge Casino Assistant Marketing Manager, Sibongile Tantsi says, “Anyone familiar with the timeless tale of Annie knows that Annie never goes anywhere without her trusted sidekick – her precious dog, Sandy.”
“In celebration of this bond between man and pup, Sony Movies SA, together with Movies@ TheRidge and Eukanuba, launched the “Lend A Paw with Annie!” campaign on Friday, 5 December 2014,” she adds.
The public can get involved by heading over to Movies@TheRidge where they will find paw prints that lead to a big donation box where they can drop off their donations – pet food, toys or blankets.
Tantsi says, “We can all play a part, The Ridge has already bought food to donate for the cause.”
“We will also be adopting the Dog Kennel for a year to the local SPCA,” she adds.
For those who aren’t able to make it to a cinema, but would still love to be involved, they can SMS ANNIE to 38018 (each SMS costs R25) or visit www.annie-movie.co.za.
Tantsi says, “Guests can also snap a donation selfie at Movies@ TheRidge and upload it to Facebook, Twitter or Instagram using the hashtag: #LendAPaw. There are amazing prizes to be won – SMS donations will be entered automatically.”
Eukanuba will also be running a photo competition via Facebook on www.facebook.com/eukanabasouthafrica, inviting people to send in stories together with photos of their own rescue pets for a chance to win more Annie and Eukanuba prizes.
