MBOMBELA – Young girls between ages of 18-25 have an opportunity of being crowned the most beautiful and intelligent to represent the province during the forthcoming crowning of Miss Mpumalanga 2015,auditions proudly sponsored by the Mpumalanga Gambling Board to be held on December 8,9 and 10.
According to organisers,Mzimari Productions, 2015 poses as the most competitive competition ever staged by them since the beauty pageant was relaunched in 2011.
“The queen to be crowned next year will mark a big milestone in the pageant as it will be our fifth anniversary and she will come down in history as her crowning will be when we are celebrating the pageant’s fifth year.
As espoused from a fifth anniversary’s point of view,the queen will be documented in the annals of history and be an integral part of this mammoth celebration of success in moulding young girls into responsible citizens of this province and the country as a whole,” said CEO of Mzimari Productions, Ms Gugu Nyarenda.
The title is there for the taking for any young girl who meets the criteria required by the organizers, complying with the age limit, not having a child, a bonafide South African residing and originally born in Mpumalanga.
Intelligence and knowledgeability are other prerequisites for qualifying to participate in this prestigious beauty pageant.
“The participants must brace themselves for a much more competitive audition as they have to match or surpass the quality of the previous queens.
We pride ourselves for the likes of Mpumi Lephoko, our inaugural queen, then Lungile Libambo, Ntandoyenkosi Kunene and Natasha dos Santos.
They,be made a mark and difference in the province during their reigns and the fifth anniversary queen has to take it higher,” she said.
On Thursday auditions take place at the Gert Sibande District offices in Ermelo, on Friday at the Highveld Protea Hotel in Emalahleni and the last auditions take place on Saturday at the Nelspruit Hotel and Conference Center.
