“I love music with everything in me, I sing about love and relationships hoping to inspire people to love unconditionally. I grew up listening to music, my father would compose songs in my presence and that has contributed to my musical ear to maintain heartfelt soulful melodies.

”This musical sensation from KaBokweni, known to many as Afrotraction, says he was only a nine-year-old when he started playing a piano in church.

“In 2006 I moved to Johannesburg to seek for a recording deal, I landed a job with Electromode Music as a sound engineer and I have not looked back since. This has awarded me the opportunity to work with big artists such as Kabelo, Thembi Seete, Themba Mkhize, HHP, JR, Teargas, Jamali, Malik, Press, Kabomo, Brian Temba, ZolaSoul, to name but a few. My versatility has also been broadened in this sense,” he added.

Moya says he is grateful to have a Mpumalanga tag as the province remains his pride. “Mpumalanga houses humble people and the Big Five, and it is one the biggest tourism hubs in the country, I’m blessed to have been born there. I’ve had to move to Gauteng to pursue opportunities that are not made available in our province, but I still make the time to perform in Mpumalanga,” he added.

The province can be proud of this musician as he has broken into the international sphere. “It’s always a great deal for me to be recognised for what I do.

I do nothing better than music and I’m grateful to Jesus that my talent has finally been recognised, not just by Mpumalanga but the whole world as iTunes reflects sales in Europe, USA, Japan and All continents.

”His inspiration for love songs emanates from his love of life. “To sing about love on three albums means that it definitely has to come from somewhere sentimental, I’m in love with the most beautiful girl and that inspires me to keep writing,” he added. Moya has confirmed that he will tour the nation and promoting his next album soon and his hometown will take priority.

“Mbombela is on top of the list,” he concluded.
