5 Steval Pumas players to keep an eye on this Friday

The Steval Pumas has started their Currie Cup campaign on a winning note and will look to continue their 100% record when they face the defending champions, The Sharks on Friday August 15 in Durban. Here are some of the Steval Pumas players to look out for:

1) Vincent Koch
Loosehead prop Vincent Koch and his partner at tighthead De-Jay Terblanche had a storming game for the Steval Pumas against the Cheetahs this past Saturday. This laid the foundation for a match winning performance.

The former Cheetahs and Lions centre is once again part of the Steval Pumas set up and scored an opportunistic try to seal a victory for his side. His explosive running and crash ball skills will keep the Sharks Defence busy on Friday evening.

3) Stefan Watermeyer
Stefan Watermeyer (2nd from left) forms a formidable centre partnership with JW Jonker and their talents was put in full display this past Saturday against the Cheetahs. Watermeyer is a try scoring machine, but is also an excellent provided for his teammates as well.

4) Justin van Staden
Van Staden played a vital role in getting his team to a well-deserved win against the Cheetahs. His 13 points with the boot were enough to send the Mbombela faithful home happy.

The Namibian literally had a hand in the winning try as he scooped the ball from the grasp of the touch line to keep it in play, sending JW Jonker over the try line. Bothma has impressed of late and will look to impress against the Sharks in Durban on the weekend.
