Nabalabantfu Entertainment known to many as Naba, had Mbombela on a shutdown when they literally took over the townships and suburbs on Saturday July 26. This was in celebration of Delani Mofokeng and Clifford Masinga’s birthdays, respectively.

Saturday night was themed Kasi Flava, the event was hosted at Ngodini’s Cargo Launge and All Stars were the outfit for the night.

“We were both born eKasi (Mkhuhlu and Mgobodzi) respectively, and now we live in the suburbs, we figured we cannot sideline the people back home, thus the Kasie Flava. The (All Stars) theme and for our peeps in the suburbs who like popping bottles and so forth we went for the urban look and table bookings vibe type of a set-up,” said Delani, founder of Nabalabantfu Entertainment.

He regards the event as a success and says they will definitely host more events of this nature. More than 800 people including guests such as Kenny Kunene, Thebe, Revolution, and Heavy K, and at Cappuccinos on Saturday saw over 450 people who came to show love. In two days, Mbombela had about 1 300 people who came to support and celebrate the birthdays of the two men.

Mbombela Nights ( @mbombelanights) parties every month or two, and Clifford has Hennessy Exclusive Nights (@cliffordmp) parties monthly. “We do have events and promoters around Mbombela who hold it down when we are not around.

We have two upcoming events – Glen Lewis Birthday Party and Road to Spring Fiesta with Soulcandi Records and the big one in December. Keep your ears to the ground for that one,” he said.
