Top Star reign supreme

The games are aimed to create a platform for local teams to participate in a community building social gathering.

The June 16 soccer tournament staged at the Msogwaba Sport Ground produced fireworks as local teams battled it out for bragging rights.

At the end, Top Star Taxi Association were crowned new champions and walked away with the trophy.
They played against Golden Masters in a physical game, which kept spectators on their toes for the whole 90 minutes of play.

According to the organisers of these games, the aim was to create a platform for local teams to participate in a community building social gathering.

A former player of the former Premier Soccer League side Black Leopards, Humphrey Khoza said, “My talent was recognised here back in the days when I was a boy, it doesn’t matter where you come from as long as you take the opportunities given to you. I made use of my opportunities and today I am a national asset.”
