Masehe making steady progress

The senior player and leader at Free State Stars, Paulus Masehe, is making steady progress form his knee injury and is almost back in full training with the rest of his teammates.

Also the club captain, Masehe says he will do all he can to help Ea Lla Koto avoid a repeat of last season’s relegation scrap.

“I am happy to be back after my knee injury. I have not started training but have undergone tests. Tomorrow I will start with light jogging and join in with the team later,” Masehe told his club’s official website.

“Last season’s results were not impressive at all and the aim is to try and prevent that from happening again.

“Personally I feel it is no longer about me and if I want to improve my game. What I want to do is help the other players shine on the field, along with helping the team.”

Stars only secured their top flight status on the final day of the campaign and Masehe, a former Mamelodi Sundowns striker, wants to change things from the start of the new season.

“What I would like to see is the team winning some silverware. This means we have to push ourselves the extra mile and everyone has to share the same dream,” Masehe said.
