Culture, Sport and Recreation MEC, Ms Norah Mahlangu-Mabena has called on Mpumalanga to come out in full support of the of the Springbok match against Wales this weekend.

Culture, Sport and Recreation MEC, Ms Norah Mahlangu-Mabena has called on Mpumalanga to come out in full support of the of the Springbok match against Wales this weekend.
“Let’s turn Mbombela into Bok Town in support of the match this weekend,” said Mahlangu-Mabena.

The MEC urges all rugby and sport enthusiasts to paint the town green and gold in support of the national rugby team. “I am calling all people to proudly put on their Bokke shirts and most importantly to buy tickets to fill the stadium for the match,” she said.

The two-time world champions will be playing their second match in the city in as many years and they will be out to make the Mpumalanga crowd happy with another victory. The Heyneke Meyer-coached side has a spotless record at Mbombela Stadium, having won all their matches at the venue.

Meyer and Duane Vermeluen are guaranteed a warm and huge welcome. They were born in the city before the game took them out of the city and the locals will want to give them a homely welcome.
The match is scheduled for Saturday, June 21 at Mbombela Stadium, starting at 15:00.
