Youth Day celebrations
Several youth day celebrations are scheduled to take place around the province for the June 16 commemoration.
The Uniting Reformed Church will be celebrating the Youth Day in Christian style. A fun walk parade in support of the abducted school girls in Nigeria for the #BRINGBACKOURGIRLS campaign open for every youth member in the community has been organized.
According to the church, the aim is to make the youth more active in sports and indigenous activities in the communities, parents are also invited to attend the celebrations.
The parade will start from Themba Hospital @ 8h30 and a march down to Uniting Reformed Church (Dutch) on the 16th of June 2014.
The Evangelical Praise and Worship Centre will also be celebrating under the same #BRINGBACKOURGIRLS theme, with a focus on crime and drugs. The celebration will take place at Tekwane Community Hall, at 11:00, after the march that is scheduled an hour earlier.
