Aces aim to dominate Tuks FC

Tickets for this clash are already available and kick-off is at 15:30.

Mpumalanga Black Aces will play their last game of the season at the Mbombela Stadium this Saturday against the University of Pretoria, also known as Tuks FC.
The home side will come to this fixture already having confirmed a place in the top eight.
This is good news not only for the team but also for the soccer-loving people of the province who stand a good chance of being part of the MTN 8 Wafa Wafa competition.
The home team, have already booked a place in this competition scheduled when the new season of the Premier Soccer League (PSL) 2014/15 takes flight after the Brazil Soccer World Cup in July.
Aces’ much-needed victory last week against Free State Stars saw them occupying the fourth place with 43 points but later dropped to position six.
They might end the season with 46 points but need to beat Tuks FC this Saturday to cement their position and end the season on a high note.
“You know, when we gained promotion to the PSL, we had one goal only, and that was to assemble a formidable and competitive team that will always compete in the PSL.
And to be honest, we never thought we would achieve all of this in such a short space of time, but look at us now.
I can safely and confidently say that Aces is back to stay and reclaim former glory,” said the team’s spokesperson, Gordon Masondo.
“On Saturday we are playing for our pride and we definitely need to win this game for our supporters.
Tuks are actually a good side and they are certainly going to come out guns blazing but we are going to show them that we are the kings here.
We would like to invite all our supporters to come and close the season in great style and celebrate our successes with us,” added Masondo.
A win for Aces could see them finish the season in either position six or seven but only if Orlando Pirates, Supersport United, Bloemfontein Celtic, Platinum Stars and Amazulu win all their remaining fixtures as well.
Pirates are in position four with 43 points and could finish the season with 46 points, while Bloemfontein Celtics are in position 5 with 43 points and could finish with 46 and Amazulu is in the seventh spot with 42 points and could finish with 45.
“I must say that coach Clive Barker who is a father figure to all the players, has worked wonders with the team. He has proved why he is still regarded as the best coach in the country. Credit must also go to the team’s management for always putting its interest on top of everything and ensuring that the coach got the players he wanted.

Aces aren’t going anywhere but are here to stay and dominate,” said Masondo.
