Dynamic whisky lifestyle event to hit our shores

FNB Whisky Live allows beginners and long-time connoisseurs to discover the precious dram in a truly vibrant and eclectic setting.

It’s the largest, liveliest and most dynamic whisky lifestyle event of its kind, showcasing some of the most premium golden malts and blends in the world including the likes of firm favourites The Glenlivet Single Malt Whisky, Jameson and Ballantines.

FNB Whisky Live allows beginners and long-time connoisseurs to discover the precious dram in a truly vibrant and eclectic setting.

Now for the first time three boutique events – the FNB Whisky Live Showrooms will be set up in Durban, Nelspruit and Cape Town as a build up to the main event.

Held in association with FNB, Tsogo Sun Hotels and Valpré Spring Water, the FNB Whisky Live Showrooms are a new addition to the social calendar, offering a more intimate environment for whisky enthusiasts.

“For us as a brand everything is about leaving a legacy, such as George Smith who created The Glenlivet, the Single Malt Whisky which has left a legacy as the first licensed distillery in the world.

So we are thrilled that we can participate in a platform such as the FNB Whisky Live and its new showroom events, that are leaving a legacy as the largest Whisky festival of its kind in the world,” Mandla Holomisa, Brand Manager for The Glenlivet Single Malt Whisky.

Sibusiso Shangase brand Manager for Jameson Irish Whiskey reinforces these positive sentiments, “FNB Whisky Live has proved to be a phenomenal platform for our brand, and the fact that the boutique showrooms have been introduced, allows us to showcase Jameson and our reserves at exciting new venues across South Africa, whilst mingling with whiskey enthusiasts and novices alike.”

Seth Pereira ; Marketing Manager for Ballantines Scotch Whisky agrees, “The expansion of the FNB Whisky Live just goes to showcase the popularity and growth within the whisky market not only here in South Africa but abroad. For us as a brand we are proud to be part of a lifestyle festival that not only exposes consumers to our blends, but educates consumers about the whisky culture in general. I believe it is this this knowledge that has aided in the growth of the industry.”

According to organisers visitors limited tickets are available for each event, so those who are interested in attending are encouraged to book tickets online at www.whiskylivefestival.co.za or on Facebook/FNBWhiskyLiveFestival, to make sure they don’t miss out.
