Surprises await muso’s fans

Selaelo Selota will also be unveiling new talent such as Edith Mudau whom he described as having an amazing gift.

One of the country’s most talented musicians is coming to town and he is not only bringing his smooth serenading voice and energy to the concert but also a few surprises.

This was revealed by Selaelo Selota during an exclusive interview ahead of his much-anticipated musical tour, Memories and Songs which is set to leave music lovers begging for more. He indicated that he would take his fans down memory lane with hit songs such as “Mamodiegi”, “Nomalanga”, “Lolita”, “Seshego” and the legendary “Thrr…Phaa…!”

Selota who will perform at the Emnotweni Arena on April 25, said he had a few surprises in store such as performing songs from his latest offering, The promise, which has also been nominated for the South African Music Awards in the best Adult African Contemporary category.

“This will be my first time performing some of the material from this album.”

He added he would also be unveiling new talent such as Edith Mudau whom he described as having an amazing gift.

“I have a small band but they are powerful musicians and you know how the saying goes, dynamite comes in small packages.”

Selota, who has six albums under his belt, indicated that his journey in the industry has been an exhilarating one and performing alongside well-known artists such as Jonathan Butler, was a meeting that was long overdue. “This is because I had imagined myself doing what this artists can do.”
