Local youngsters excel in table tennis

Players who excelled in their performance received awards and certificates with the objective to encourage them to do their best.

Table tennis players showcased their talent at KaMhlushwa Community Hall during at the Nashua Lowveld Table Tennis Mobile Tournament organised by Reality South Africa under Mbombela Local Municipality, in conjunction with Nashau Mobile.

Players who excelled in their performance received awards and certificates with the objective to encourage them to do their best. Hosting such tournament is a way of preparing the players for big competitions such as provincial championships and South African championships.

Speaking to this publication, the president of Reality South Africa, Sifiso Mlambo, said, “I’m very impressed with my players’ performance, they are growing as some of them walked away with certificates, trophies and medals.

Once again, thank you so much to Lowveld Nashua Mobile for organising this tournament because the players are motivated.

“Some of the participants who excelled include the likes of Nomvuyo Myanga crowned the under-14 girls champ and Jabulile Mazive who obtained position five. Mpumalanga News learnt that even though this team is struggling with sponsorships and playing equipment, they are not discouraged as they managed to put this province on the map during the School African Schools Championship held in Bloemfontein.
