Lowveld Lifestyle Networking, a first of its kind

It kicked off with Hollywood-style photo shoot on the red carpet, with guests all dressed up in their best and most glamorous outfits.

Elegance, flair and mixing with the right people were the order of the night. Presented by Kwenampho, the first Lowveld Lifestyle Networking event, provided a platform for business people, fashion lovers, whiskey lovers, wine lovers and business networkers to meet and socialise at the Union Motors, which released its brand-new Mercedes AMG.

It kicked off with Hollywood-style photo shoot on the red carpet, with guests all dressed up in their best and most glamorous outfits. Despite a two-hour delay, the show started with the singing waiters, Songbirds,an incredible group of young men and women who knew how to set the mood.

MC Sam Jagger, of MPower FM, encouraged guests to make use of the opportunity to mingle with other business people, and build up contacts for future reference.

To add a cherry on top a fashion show, showcasing local designers’ talent proved that Lowveld is a home of honed talent -varying from avant garde to funky, from stylish to shirtless.

Guest speaker, Nambitha Mpulwana, South African born and based and an international actress who wears many hats – as a businesswoman, humanitarian, philanthropist, a charity patron and many more graced the event with a thought provoking “I matter” speech.

“It is true, I am returning to Generations,” she started off, confirming the rumours that she will be returning to revive the dying the local soapie. Mpumlwane who has been called names such as diva and prima donna, in the tabloid media, said that she was not troubled by the publicity.

“A prima donna is a first lady so I love who I’m being referred to here. I was raised by a diva and I’m still working my way to matching up to her standards,” she added.

The award winning actress advised guests to always put themselves first and strive to achieve what they want regardless of opposition.

“Always remember that you matter,” she told them.

The session host, Ms Matsheliso Lebenya of Kwenampho was overjoyed about the success of the elegant event.

“This event was the first of its kind and I am really pleased by the turn out. We are already planning for the next one. Watch this space!” she said.
