Gospel star to rock SA during tour

Just recently he was performing at the local taxi rank and passengers were over the moon after “Shongwe and Khuphuka” arrived there.

MBOMBELA – Renowned Swaziland gospel singer, “Shongwe and Khuphuka “ has embarked on a South Africa tour which has taken him to different parts of the country which include KwaZulu-Natal, Gauteng and he is currently on local turf having been to Naas, Tonga under the Nkomazi Local Municipality.

Just recently he was performing at the local taxi rank and passengers were over the moon after “Shongwe and Khuphuka” arrived there.

Speaking to Mpumalanga News, he said the tour is part of promoting his new album titled, “Kungumusa waJesu “.

”My being here in South Africa is to promote my new album and at the same time, it is a way of saying thank you to my supporters because I am where I am today because of them. May the Almighty bless them all.“

He went on and said: “In all my performances during this tour, people don’t pay anything. It’s free because we place the stage on an open space so that they cannot spend money. It is their Christmas gift from me.“

He’s been in the music industry for 20 years and according to him, everything is going well as he stated that in everything he does, he invites God.

Ms Selinah Sibisi from Magogeni, who was part of the people who didn’t want to miss the opportunity to watch “Shongwe and Khuphuka “performing live, had this to say: “At first when I heard people talk about Shongwe’s live performances, I thought they were joking. I was doing my shopping around and I decided to come and check. I’m feeling blessed and it was free of charge nawe Mpumalanga awumncinyane,“ she concluded .
