Mayoral cup tourney knockout still on
The big question is which team is going to win the mayoral cup.
The Mbombela Mayoral Cup knock-out games for the u/15 are still on and all the participating teams are hungry for the glory.
On Saturday, the Nelspruit Angels baptised Young Celtic by 2- 0 at the Msogwaba school ground.The director of coaching, Sam Mnisi said despite the victory they still had to prepare very well.
“I’m happy about my boys’ performance – it shows that they are hungry for the cup and we need to continue winning all the games so that we can be able to survive because the tournament is very challenging,” he explained.
The big question is which team is going to win the mayoral cup, and Mpumalanga News has since learnt that the final is expected to take place before Christmas.
Last year the team finished fourth in this tournament.
Mnisi urged every Msogwaba citizen to put the team in their prayers as they will be attending trials for the Kaizer Chiefs Development team.
“We promise to make you proud and raise the province’s flag high this weekend, and we assure you that one or two boys will be accepted into the Kaizer Chiefs Development team,” he said.
