Twins to share their blessings with fans

After years of composing sweet music, the Gospel twins are ready to release their debut album.

The KaNyamazane sisters, Velma and Zelma Mabilane, have over the years been cooking up quite a storm and are now ready to dish it out.

With their single, titled “Desire” already out, they have had quite a journey to get where they are today, and they promise nothing but the best songs of worship and praise in their soon-to-be-released full album.

Speaking to Mpumalanga News about the album, Zelma, which means, “helmet of God”, says it is a tribute to the work of God who has blessed them with the gift of song.

“The only thing we really know to do best, is to sing and we are at our best when we sing gospel. I promise you, music lovers will never be disappointed with our work,” she says.

“It really makes sense to us, which is why we chose this path over other genre, because we feel God gave us this blessing to worship and praise only Him with our voices,” Velma chips in.

Their four-track promo single is already out and contains inspirational songs such “My desire” and “Never apart”.

“The message we are conveying out there is plain and simple, and that is to declare God our Alfa and Omega. We have seen Him in our lives and we continue to be touched by Him. And this is our way of showing Him our appreciations for blessing us.” Velma says one of the reasons it took them so long to release an album is because they wanted to make an impact so that they would be known for producing good music.

All the tracks of their album were composed by them and arranged by Mike Mokoena. These two musicians are also involved in charity work and wish to establish a music faculty at the University of Mpumalanga so that they can teach music. “We want to invest in the province through out talent,” they say.
