A poetry invasion is brewing in Lekazi
The night was professionally set up and made all attending comfortable and eased them to the soul food they were about to receive, and what they receive was pure raw talent from all the artists that were performing .
ChafCorner hosted the first poetry jam and Hip hop Cypher Session which has set the standard of both art forms in the province very high, organized by Sindi, the poetry session lined up a guest of undiscovered Poets and Hip hop artists based locally and from other communities who came to share and interact with lovers of both art forms.
The night was professionally set up and made all attending comfortable and eased them to the soul food they were about to receive, and what they receive was pure raw talent from all the artists that were performing . The organizer of the event opened the show herself with one of her favorite and most profound poems called “African Child” leading by example and of course set the bar quite high for her fellow comrades.
“I feel I had to start pushing poetry jams in my location because there has not been anyone to push this art form and I am honored to be doing it here, with the partnership I made with James Mvuleni who made this possible by opening the doors of his venue to me and the vision I have for this event and it was a big success of which will be followed by a second poetry jam.” siad Sindi
The 24 year old has had a passion for poetry from an early age and has been writing poems ever since she discovered her talent. She has been featured on a House music album by Steveyboy as the introduction to it and is the founder of Strugglers Inc, the young poet promises to bring something fresh in the area and give platform to undiscovered talents.
