Who is our next Idol?

The Mpumalanga lad was not even confident enough that he will make it to the top 5.

Tuesday night’s results of SA Idols saw the Top 6 contestants reduced down to five. Crystalene said goodbye after struggling to get enough votes from the public to keep her in the competition.

The results were determined by Sunday’s “Showstopper” theme which saw the ladies favorite, Brenden struggling to impress his fans which led him to be placed ín the bottom three for the first time even his screamometer results were low, standing on number four, placing Gauteng’s boy Sonke on the top.

The Mpumalanga lad was not even confident enough that he will make it to the top 5. After performing Zahara’s hit track “Ngiyathandaza” Gareth and Unathi were impressed, but Randall said if he doesn’t up his game, he might not stay longer in the competition and that being an idol takes being comfortable in any music genre.

Musa, also known as the Mpumalanga gentle giant has become more popular with the fans and stood up on number two on the screamometer. During his performance, he showed off his dancing skills by doing the Dr Malinga leap dance. Performing Mahoota and Vetkoek‘s Via Orlando, the crowd couldn’t stop screaming.

Gareth praised him saying he was really great “this is one of you; you’re a genuine guy, a very authentic performer.” Unathi applauded the fact that Musa honored the original version, but also keeping it more current with the new version. As usual, the audience couldn’t stop chanting his name after his performance.

South Africa will be left with a very hard decision to make on their hands. As Gareth said the competition is getting tougher and tougher, and to keep Mpumalanga in the competition, continues to vote for them. To vote for Brenden SMS 01 to 37400 and to vote for Musa SMS 09 to 37400.
