Chiefs fans to invade FNB Stadium

Maras "Kortman" Nkosi, secretary of the Umjindi branch of Chiefs supporters, has called local Amakhosi faithfuls to join them as they go to avenge the defeat they suffered last time.

Yet another glorious chapter is expected to be written in the history of the timeless rivalry between Kaizer Chiefs and Pirates.
The two giants of South African football will lock horns once again at the imposing First National Bank Stadium this coming Saturday at 15:30.

The match is arguably crucial to both sides. While Amakhosi are on a mission to retain their Absa Premiership trophy, The Buccaneers on the other hand are determined to catch up.

They are in the Caf Champions League, and have played only two games in this local domestic group. They currently stand 14th with three points.
Amakhosi on the other hand are still on track to defend their title as they are fifth with 11 points after six games.
Both teams come into this game in high spirits after recording resounding victories over the weekend. Amakhosi advanced to this year’s Telkom Knockout semi-finals after grabbing a late equaliser and then shading hosts Free State Stars in a penalty shoot-out on Sunday.

Pirates laboured to a 1-1 draw against Tunisian side Esperance in their semi-final, second-leg encounter in Tunis on Saturday and qualify for the final round on the away-goals rule.

Maras “Kortman” Nkosi, secretary of the Umjindi branch of Chiefs supporters, has called local Amakhosi faithfuls to join them as they go to avenge the defeat they suffered last time.

“Deep down in their hearts, they (Pirates fans) know they owe us. Saturday will be the right platform for us to avenge the defeat they inflicted on us in the MTN 8 semi-finals. We urge local fans to join us to witness the anticipated sweet revenge,” said Nkosi.
Any interested parties can contact Nkosi on 072-438-4595. Return fare is R330, which includes match ticket.
