The Mpumalanga Cue Sports Association (MPCS), entity member of the South African Cue Sports Associaton (SACS), has completed its voting processes, which saw Hendry Erasmus elected as chairman and Bheki Zulu as vice-chairman.

Zulu is the current Mbombela Local Municipality’s Member of the Mayoral Committee and also a professional cue player.

Also making it to the top five, were Berenlaine Strydom who was elected secretary, Moses Malandula as treasurer and Veronica Wahlstrand as technical officer.

These members were voted into power at the most recent MPCS forum held in Secunda.

The new committee will guide Mpumalanga cue sports over the next year as it is rapidly starting to make waves.

According to the newly elected Strydom, this team of experts will represent the MPC in the various cue sport activities and portfolios by applying their individual views, expertise, time and passion to evoke positive change and professionalism in developing the sport.

“The various portfolios will be allocated to various members at the first new committee meeting in which planning for the current year’s project will commence.

The main duties for this committee will be to establish a development structure in the province and ensure that all districts in the province have cue sport structures,” said Strydom.

Cue sports include pool, snooker, eight- and nine-ball. For more information on this particular sport, you can contact the following members of the executive committee listed below.
