Aces want to honour Bafana Bafana player

"We were with Meyiwa last Tuesday and we are going to pay our last respect to him by unleashing our deadly poison against Amazulu".

Mpumalanga Black Aces will dedicate their weekend clash against Amazulu FC to former Orlando Pirates and Bafana Bafana number-one keeper, Senzo Robert Meyiwa.

Aces, who hosted Orlando Pirates last Tuesday at the Mbombela Stadium, said they would show their last respect by unleashing their venom against the struggling but unpredictable Durban-based side, Amazulu.

The two will meet in an Absa Premiership battle for three points at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday.

“What happened to him (Meyiwa) is so unfortunate. We are deeply saddened and at a loss for words.

“As the Aces family, we would like Orlando Pirates and Meyiwa’s family to know that we are with them during this painful time.
“We hope and pray that the authorities will speed up their investigation and apprehend those responsible,” said Aces spokesperson, Gordon Masondo.

“We were with Meyiwa last Tuesday and we are going to pay our last respect to him by unleashing our deadly poison against Amazulu.
“It’s not going to be easy playing against them in Durban, but we are going to do ourselves a favour by scoring an early goal and try not to concede.
“We are going to do this, for Senzo,” continued Masondo.

Currently on position five on the table, Aces will hope to climb a step further up the ladder, while Amazulu will hunt for their first victory.

Out of nine outings, Amazulu have lost five games and drew four. They are currently trailing Aces by four points.
