Youngster now a professional

Local golfer, Thriston Lawrence made his debut as a professional player at the Scottish Hyrdo Challenge (Euro Challenge Tour) on Thursday.

He played rounds of 78 and 73 – a total of 151. Unfortunately he did not make the cut-off on Friday, but this 17-year-old deserves a pat on the back. He will return on Thursday after a two-month tour with his father, Steven and some of South Africa’s best up-and-coming golfers like Christiaan Bezuidenhout, Zander Lombard and NJ Arnoldi.
