On Monday sponsors and the last 64 teams conducted an official draw, which saw the so-called favourites pitted against less- known teams or minors.

One of the province’s sizzling tourneys, the Selati Super Cup is entering its next stage now as it heads for the final showdown every soccer fanatic in the Nkomazi subregion is eagerly waiting for.

On Monday sponsors and the last 64 teams conducted an official draw, which saw the so-called favourites pitted against less- known teams or minors.

But the biggest mistake anyone can make here is saying that some teams are small or big, because it is a known fact that the sweet Selati Cup sometimes just becomes too bitter and anything is possible.

Already known teams such as last year’s finalists, the Malelane Home Boys, Driekoppies Iraq, KaMhlushwa Inter Milan and Langeloop Eastern Chiefs have been booted out of this widely supported and famous amateur soccer tournament, while the so-called minors and less-talked about teams have secured spaces in the last 64.
