Kaizer Chiefs returns to Mpumalanga

Many Kaizer Chiefs supporters didn't have a chance to watch their team when they beat minnows' Acornbush United as the KaBokweni Stadium venue could only accommodate less than 10 000 supporters.

Mpumalanga-based Kaizer Chiefs supporters, who were denied an opportunity to watch their beloved team in action when they beat minnows’ Acornbush United 2-1 in the Nedbank Cup last-16, can do so this coming Saturday.

The Glamour Boys will be hosting Chippa United at the 43 000-seater majestic Mbombela Stadium. Kick-off is at 18:00.
There was public outrage when soccer lovers heard that Acornbush was taking their encounter against crowd pullers – Chiefs – to KaBokweni, which is a 10 000-seater.
Mthuthuzeli Qamba of Mbombela Stadium management said as soccer lovers of the province have been saying they were starving for top-flight football actions, this was their opportunity to feast.

“We urge all the soccer loving people of the province to purchase their tickets in time to avoid disappointments. People are going to a long weekend and there is nothing like going out as a family to attend the game on a Saturday evening,” he said.
