#RightDownTheLine: Kaizer Chief’s wrath causing havoc

Amakhosi played with spectacular style and came with five goals. Much credit must be also given to Celtics for displaying excellent skills, putting three goals behind the net.

The Kaizer Chiefs and Bloemfontein Celtics game can be compared to 300 Spartans going into war or a David and Goliath battle.

Could this match be one of the season’s highlights? This is the kind of football we have been longing for. Amakhosi played with spectacular style and came with five goals. Much credit must be also given to Celtics for displaying excellent skills, putting three goals behind the net. They dominated the first half and their play was convincing, possibly bagging three points.

That would have been a pipe dream, because the Chiefs’ wrath was felt in the second half. Samir Nurkovic secured a hat-trick and was the man of the match. Leonardo Castro struck a brace, sealing their win. What more could we want? We must admit that this team are in their best form.

I know it would be hard to admit for Orlando Pirates’ supporters, but one cannot question this performance. Looking back at the last season, they were the laughing stock, but they rose from the ashes to the land of the living. It is important to give credit where it is due and this is the time. For Celtics, I hope they continue to fight in the top five and carry on with their momentum right through. They have got the right players who can contest the title. Can they be the champions? Only their performance will tell.
