Right down the line – Black Leopards secure PSL promotion
Jomo Sono was quoted saying he will never give up until he makes it to the PSL in a report. It is not the first time he spoke about these ambitions, but his team still did not survive in the top league.
Black Leopards were promoted to the Premier Soccer League after a play-off with Jomo Cosmos last weekend.
Congratulations are in order for Lidoda Duvha, who are joining Polokwane City and Baroka FC in the Premier Soccer League. Clearly their efforts have put the team in good standing. I only hope that they maintain their morale in the PSL journey, unlike Cosmos who have failed in various seasons to keep up in the league.
On the same weekend, there was a mini netball and rugby festival at Laerskool Laeveld, where grade one learners were competing with other schools. On the day, I learned the importance of staying active from a young age and the support we need to give to our children. This improves their social relationships with their peers and helps them grow up open-minded. Even though some of them were clumsy on the field, they definitely performed better than Bafana Bafana when Madagascar crushed them in the Cosafa Cup match at Peter Mokaba Stadium. What is even more heart-breaking is that people are still investing their emotions in the national team who are performing so poorly that they are running out of excuses. Anyway, let us stay active and eat the right foods to keep the body in a good condition.
