Right Down The Line: Let us be proud of Super Sport United
The Buccaneers and Amakhosi were perceived to be the toughest in the PSL for a long time, but times have changed and so did the likes of Bidvest Wits, SuperSport and Baroka.
We should be very proud of SuperSport United, irrespective of which team one supports. The reality is that they are one of the best teams on the continent.
They were defeated 2-1 by TP Mazembe in the first leg of the CAF final in the Democratic Republic of Congo last Saturday. I did not watch the match but I caught a glimpse of the highlights. Head coach Eric Tinkler has outdone himself.
A job well done! The return leg will be played this Saturday. Then there’s the Clever Boys, Bidvest Wits who gave Amakhosi the boot out of the Telkom KO, crushing them 1-0 at the Bidvest Stadium last Saturday. Who can stop them? The Brazilians.
