Malema does not respect our courts

It is very disappointing how a leader of a political party which claims to be the government in waiting, can behave in such a very disgraceful manner.

It is very disappointing how a leader of a political party which claims to be the government in waiting, can behave in such a very disgraceful manner. EFF leader, Julius Malema has attacked the judge who presided over his case against the IEC, President Jacob Zuma and Minister Naledi Pandor.

This is because he lost his case to get the IEC registration fees reduced. One wonders what the Advocate is telling these young men when advising them on legal matters.

Clearly these boys are being misled here. Malema must understand that our courts are part of chapter 9 institutions which are run independently from government. His claim that they are there to serve the capitalist class is nothing but an intellectual bankruptcy.

If EFF is the government in waiting, they must start by respecting all state institutions including our courts. Malema’s reaction to the ruling is a clear indication that South Africa will be in trouble should EFF take over.

You can’t run government if you don’t respect state institutions. Insulting our courts with their judges does not make one a better leader, but exposes one’s intellectual laziness.

EFF and Julius Malema must not lie to the people. There is no political party in South Africa that is run by poor people. Malema himself is rich, living a lavish lifestyle while claiming to be poor. I have never seen a poor person driving a Range Rover, wearing a Rollex watch, owning 2 houses.

If this is the definition of poor, then as South Africans, we must brace ourselves for higher levels of corruption when EFF take over. Our alternative here is to make other choices. We cannot afford to be ruled by people who don’t respect state institutions.
