Top six U14 tournament celebrates Heritage Day in Shatale

Deco United won the semi-final fixture against Hotbeans 1-0.

In celebration of Heritage Day, the Mandela Warriors FC hosted a top six U14 tournament at Shatale Stadium on Wednesday, September 24.The tournament consisted of Mandela Warriors FC, Black Pirates, Hotbeans, Madjembeni Mancher City, Deco United, Maile United and Sedibeng all Stars United.

The first game saw Hotbeans lock horns with Madjembeni Manchester City. It was Hotbeans who drew first blood in the second half and they defended well to win the game 1-0.

The second match saw Deco United playing against Black Pirates, and Deco United won 3-1.

In the third game Mandela Warriors FC played against Sedibeng All Stars. Mandela Warriors won 3-0. A toss had to be conducted for the remaining three teams for a knock-out top three. Deco United had to play against Hotbeans for a slot in the final against Mandela Warriors FC who had a favourable toss. Deco United won the semi-final fixture 1-0 to set up a final against their crosstown rivals.
Due to bad weather, the final was not played.
