Pienaar pupils celebrate Heritage Month

The youngsters participated in cultural dances and song dressed in their traditional wear.

Siyakhula Primary School celebrated Heritage Month with a day of Siswati traditional dancing and singing on Wednesday, September 18.

The school principal, Dudu Cele, said it was important that the pupils are encouraged to participate in celebrations of Heritage Month.

“The aim of the annual commemoration of Heritage Month is for the youngsters to be aware of their cultural background, gain confidence in being who they are and to nurture and showcase their extracurricular talents and skills through dance and singing,” Cele said.
