EFF membership on the rise, says Sedibe

The EFF provincial leader, Collen Sedibe, dispelled fears about the decline in membership in the party’s Mpumalanga branch.

The EFF provincial leader, Collen Sedibe, has reassured party members that its Mpumalanga branch is intact and almost all the members have renewed their membership with the organisation.

Sedibe was reacting shortly after the party’s longest serving deputy president and co-founder, Floyd Shivambu, opted not to renew his membership and jumped ship to join Jacob Zuma’s MK Party. “The EFF in Mpumalanga is happy and excited to announce that the majority of its leaders and members renewed their lapsed membership with the organisation. The EFF membership lapses every two years from the date of joining,” he said.

We have noted and seen reports by some media outlets suggesting the EFF is dying due to the departure of our former deputy president. No, this is not a true

“Contrary to certain media reports and rumours, the EFF continues to grow and attracts new youthful members to its ranks, particularly in this province. We have noted and seen reports by some media outlets suggesting the EFF is dying due to the departure of our former deputy president. No, this is not a true reflection of what is happening on the ground. The EFF continues to enjoy massive support and we are working hard to recruit even more new members,” said Sedibe.

“It, therefore, gives me pleasure to officially welcome the thousands of new members to the organisation who have also joined and paid for their membership in their respective branches across the province.”

We also call upon all fighters to exercise maximum discipline when electing their branch command teams and delegates as we prepare for the third National People’s Assembly

Sedibe said the province will always stand and support its national leadership, led by their president, Julius Malema.

“The Mpumalanga EFF reaffirms its firm and uncompromising support to its president and commander-in-chief of the only radical economic emancipation movement in South Africa and the diaspora. We call upon all interested people to continue joining the organisation. We also call upon all fighters to exercise maximum discipline when electing their branch command teams and delegates as we prepare for the third National People’s Assembly,” said Sedibe.

The EFF will hold its elective conference, dubbed the National People’s Assembly, at Nasrec in Gauteng in December.
