IN PHOTOS | Mbombela businesswomen enjoy a day filled with activities at The Arena @ Emnotweni

The South African Council for Business Women Nelspruit and the Kruger Lowveld Chamber of Business and Tourism hosted an informative event in honour of Women's Month.

It was a memorable journey through a kaleidoscope of topics when the annual Women’s Day event was held at The Arena @ Emnotweni in Mbombela on Tuesday, August 20.

The guests got to network as they enjoyed the informative event that was hosted by the South African Council for Business Women (SACBW) Nelspruit and the Kruger Lowveld Chamber of Business and Tourism (KLCBT).

The agenda of the day included demonstrations of various activities, such as a flower arranging, paper napkin folding, fabric painting, yoga, make-up application and a self-defence demonstration, as well as a how-to on meals that can be made with everyday ingredients.

Monica Buchanan, one of the guests, said all the activities on the programme were aimed at women on a personal level.

She said she enjoyed the event and the information shared will help women improve their personal lives, and balance work and life. “We got to let our hair down a little and relax.”

In the spirit of Women’s Month, the SACBW and the KLCBT once again joined forces as we celebrated women in business. We had a fantastic morning as we learnt a few life hacks.

Tracy-Erin Duggan of the SACBW Nelspruit said the event was a great success and the guests enjoyed it.

A huge thank you to all the speakers, our sponsors and everyone who attended the event. We look forward to hosting it again next year,” said Duggan.

Linda Grimbeek, the COO of the KLCBT said, “We all left with at least five things we are going to try in the next week. Being a businesswoman is a balancing act and everything has to happen on time, on the move and on point. From entertaining to entertainment, entrées to amusement – we did it all. We cannot wait for the next one, and we welcome suggestions for content for the next event or events.
