Mpumalanga Department of Education congratulates 46 students who graduated in Russia

These graduates from Mpumalanga were all beneficiaries of the Ephraim Mogale Bursary Scheme and attended various universities in Russia.

The Mpumalanga Department of Education (DoE) has congratulated the 46 students who had graduated from various universities in the Federal Republic of Russia on Tuesday July 9.

They were beneficiaries of the Ephraim Mogale Bursary Scheme in Mpumalanga and comprised 30 students who were studying medicine at the Tambov State Medical University, two at Nyzy Novgorod Research University, one at Astrakhan State Medical University and four at Saratov State Medical University.

Ntando Shokane, Ashley Malwane, Witness Mkhari, Elvis Nkonde and Innocent Mokoena.

Another 10 graduated in veterinary sciences from the Saratov State Agrarian University on Friday July 19.

“There are 49 students who will remain in Russia, and all of them are studying at Tambov State Medical University. About 368 students from Mpumalanga were supported through this progressive bursary initiative, and so far the pass rate has been about 94%,” said the DoE’s spokesperson, Gerald Sambo.

He said this will add impetus to the government’s quest of empowering and providing skills to the youth.
