Mbombela muso set to release new amapiano hit

TboY Lwazi believes the new track will be one of his best singles.

A local kwaito and amapiano artist is working on a single titled “Buya”, which will be released later in July. Lwazi Chauke, who goes by the stage name TboY Lwazi, said he is preparing one of his best singles and the public will enjoy what he has in store for them.

TboY Lwazi said the song will be dedicated to those who are broken-hearted and want their lovers back. He believes that many will relate to it.
This 23-year-old started making music in 2012 when he was in primary school and was inspired by his uncle.

“I was taught how to write songs by my uncle, Dumisani Mabilane. Later, I realised how much I love music and decided to do research on which steps to take next,” said TboY Lwazi.

He added that in 2012, he was part of a group called Keedo Swegger, and they released their first single, “We so hot”. In 2021, he also released a song titled “Shishi” featuring Ngosiza.
In June 2022, he produced a song, “Msavovo”, which was playlisted on The Best of the Week on Channel O.

TboY Lwazi said in the same year, he produced an album for Shisaboy Kwaito Pallet, which was nominated for a Sama 28 award. This year, he was nominated for best hip-hop album in the Mpumalanga Hip-Hop Music Awards.

He said his dream is to be famous and have his own record label, through which he will help talented upcoming artists in Mpumalanga.
