Pienaar model wants to inspire others

This pageant model says she feeds the less fortunate in her community and gets to raise autism awareness through her projects.

A Miss Intercontinental South Africa 2024 semi-finalist says she wants to raise awareness of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) through a project of hers.

Pearl Thandiwe Ndhlovu said she feeds some of the less fortunate in her community, and through this project, she gets to raise awareness.

This local pageant model said she entered this competition so she can make a difference in her community.
Ndhlovu said she wants to show others that it is possible to achieve their dreams, and that they can do it while giving back.

She won two gold medals for the ballet American performance award. “I have represented South Africa in the global round competition with international students, which was held in Durban in 2019 and the one that was held in Cape Town in 2017,” she said.

his 23-year-old, who started her modelling journey in 2020, said she was inspired by what she had seen others doing and she wanted to be part of that change.

“I have always loved being on stage. From the age of nine I was introduced to ballet stage performances, and I later participated in high school debates,” Ndhlovu said.

In 2021, she was a fashion model of a brand titled Major World, campaigning for Avon Far Away and Miss Tourism Globe South.

Ndhlovu recently graduated with qualifications in accounting at the Durban University of Technology.

“My future plans include opening an eatery/coffee shop in Mpumalanga while consulting retail stores to get our manufactured products on the shelves, and in terms of my community engagements,” she said.

She said her dream is to see herself winning more awards and being famous in her pageantry journey.
