Some Mpumalanga senior traditional leaders receive vehicles

The acting MEC for co-operative governance and traditional affairs, Speed Mashilo, said this handover is a demonstration of the dedication to creating a more efficient and responsive system in which the traditional leaders can focus on delivering essential services.

The acting MEC for co-operative governance and traditional affairs, Speed Mashilo, handed over the last batch of vehicles to the amakhosi (chiefs) on Thursday June 11 to empower traditional leaders to serve their communities better.

During the handover, Mashilo said: “It is with great pleasure that I present the final batch of vehicles to the senior traditional leaders of the province of Mpumalanga. This milestone marks a significant achievement in our efforts to empower our communities and enhance the effectiveness of our traditional leaders.”

Mashilo said he is committed to providing the traditional leaders with the necessary resources and support to excel in their roles.

He said the vehicles are equipped with cutting-edge technology and features, will not only facilitate efficient and safe travel, but also enable them to respond promptly to the needs of their communities.
