IN PHOTOS: Masoyi locals thoroughly enjoy a Sophiatown-themed party

It was a showcase of versatile vintage styles, while the guests enjoyed groovy music from the South Africa's Sophiatown era.

The Umkhonto Vintage movement, headed by Happy Mkhonto, gave fun lovers a vintage-themed show called Sophiatown Effects.
The guests, dressed up in vintage clothing, enjoyed the event thoroughly at Ka Uncle Sam bottle store in Masoyi on Sunday May 5.

Mkhonto said the event aimed to showcase a wide array of art forms, including live music from local musicians, vintage fashion, poetry and indigenous foods and drinks, while celebrating classic fashion and heritage.

He said Sophiatown Effects is a continuing project and will allow locals to enjoy more of this kind in Masoyi and surrounding areas.
