Two foreign nationals, aged 30 and 35, from the Kingdom of Eswatini, were arrested for dealing with dagga on Monday March 18 at Waverley Port of Entry.
According to Colonel Donald Mdhluli, police officers from Waverley border policing nabbed the two while they were conducting stop-and-searches at Waverley Farma and Esandleni.

“Police searched a black Honda Fit which they were travelling into South Africa. During the search, 67 rolls of dagga, stashed in a false compartment inside the vehicle, were found. They weighed about 12.3kg and have an estimated street value of about R51 828,” explained Mdhluli.

“The two suspects were apprehended and charged with dealing in dagga. They are expected to appear in Mayflower Magistrate’s Court soon,” he said.
