WATCH: Giant crocodile captured in Tekwane South
A trap was set in a section of the Crocodile River, and successfully caught a large crocodile almost a week after it had been spotted by a local.
A large crocodile was captured in Tekwane South today, February 20.
It was spotted in a section of the Crocodile River near Tekwane Primary School about a week ago and reported by a local, Samuel Mathabela.

Mathabela said he has spotted multiple crocodiles in the river since October 2023. “With the lack of water faced by the community, some residents get water from the river, and they have also seen some crocodiles. We are happy that the wildlife management authorities managed to set up the trap, which was successful.”
