Twins of Jebha from KaNyamazane to drop new amapiano banger

A set of multitalented twins want to make a name for themselves in the music industry such as the likes of DJ Tira. Read Siyabonga and Mbongeni Ndlovu's story below.

A set of twins aspiring to be one of the country’s successful entertainment duos, Siyabonga and Mbongeni Ndlovu (25), known as the Twins of Jebha, are set to release a new amapiano banger titled “Nextdoor” by the end of March.

“The song is about the misleading lifestyles that most young people have engaged in, such as substance abuse and attempting to meet unrealistic social media standards, which have become a major problem. We pray that our youth can change and strive for success, education and knowledge. We want to encourage them that it is a blessing to grow and build their own success,” Siyabonga said.

The twins are amapiano dancers and independent artists with their own record label called Ishuu Records. They ventured into music in 2016 and released their first EP titled Ishuu and a song called “Vula vala”.

Siyabonga said the EP and song put them on the map as a versatile creative duo. He said they are quite passionate about creating their own sound and always strive for quality.

“The song won Song of the Week on Ligwalagwala FM and its music video, shot by Grind Visuals, played on DStv’s Channel O and MTV Base.

“As dancers, we have won an award at the Beauty and Fashion Music Awards for the best dance group and an award at Mpumalanga’s Got Talent Awards.”

Mbongeni said the name Twins of Jebha was given by the people in the streets after the duo had joined a dance group called 18boyz. He said they used to dance at parks and schools, and also competed in small competitions around Likazi.

Fast-forward to 2023, the duo dropped another EP named Shame to Fame and ventured into DJing.

“It is easy for us to play our music and to perform it with a mixture of some other local artists who we look up to. We draw much inspiration from a well-known DJ and producer, DJ Tira. Music is our life. We want to create our own entertainment hub and open more opportunities in our community of KaNyamazane,” Mbongeni said.
