The ANC officials and National Executive Committee members are leading various initiatives throughout Mpumalanga ahead of the party’s 112th anniversary celebrations.
The event will be hosted at the Mbombela Stadium on Saturday January 13. This annual celebration will see the party’s president, Cyril Ramaphosa, addressing its members and outlining the organisation’s priorities for the year ahead, in what is called the January 8 Statement.

The national chairperson, Gwede Mantashe, was joined by the NEC member Nonceba Mhlauli when he engaged members and supporters of the ANC at the Fernie B Community Hall, eMpuluzi, in the Gert Sibande Region on Wednesday January 10.
The ANC’s deputy president, Paul Mashatile, was in Kwaggafontein in the Nkangala Region. He led a food garden programme on Wednesday January 10. This programme was embarked on across all regions of the province on that day. It forms part of the ANC’s poverty alleviation initiative.
Meanwhile, the ANC’s secretary general, Fikile Mbalula attended a briefing session in Bushbuckridge, before the food garden programme took place.
